The Verona Area Performing Arts Series is pleased to announce that the inaugural performance of our 2021-22 Season will feature the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Andrew Sewell. Not only is this the first concert of the season, but it will be VAPAS’ first performance in the new Verona Area High School’s Performing Arts Center. You won’t want to miss this concert!
The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WCO) is best known for their annual Summer Series, Concerts on the Square. During the year, they are well known for their performances at the Overture Center including Handel’s Messiah and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Ballet. Their performance in Verona will include light music, including Broadway classics with Sarah Lawrence appearing as a featured vocalist, and Copland’s Appalachian Spring. This promises to be a beautiful and memorable concert.
